Katie Gizzi did an absolutely incredible job in arranging our wedding. After twelve years of being together, I proposed to Connie in April of 2006. We set the date for September of the same year. As we were both into boating, we wanted to have a casual, fun affair with a nautical theme. We were soon immersed into the details of planning and it got quite time consuming. As we both worked, it was difficult to try and arrange what we found out to be were so many myriad details (personally for me, as a man, I realized I didn’t even have a clue!). We knew Katie through family and she offered her services. Whew! Immediately she set out to organize what needed to be done, commenced drafting check off sheets, set up meetings, venues, music and caterers, including cake testing and a theme-oriented reception setting/menu meeting. She accompanied us on each appointment, offering invaluable advice when we stalled and couldn’t make up our minds. Her professionalism with each vendor went a long way to ensuring they were listening and our desires were met. Yet all the while, she was never overbearing and deferred to our wishes should we have a particular idea that we were set on. When the date approached, Connie and I were quite absorbed in just getting through the day with all its emotion. Not to worry, everything – guests, vendors, setups, deliveries – all the organization was handled and in place – period! It was such a huge relief not to have worry or scurry about (as I must admit I am prone to do under stress).

The wedding took place overlooking Dana Point Harbor with a reception of over 80 people being held in a harbor venue. Everything went flawlessly. We received so many compliments. People telling, us quite literally and very honestly, that it was the best wedding and the most fun they have had in a long time! In the end, we now know that is truly what you want. It becomes quite special to touch all you love and know in that way. We truly owe her so much. She’s an absolute dream to work with and we were blessed to have Katie as a special part of our wedding.

Nicole Palmer (Huntington Beach, CA)

Shannon and I have known each other for 23 years and have grown up very closely throughout that time. Recently we asked Shannon to help plan and design a theme for my Sunday brunch baby shower. We had no idea how awesome it would turn out. She had planned a beautiful scene of fresh flowers with moss which made them look like they were growing in a garden. They were surrounded with three chocolate fountains which ran three different kinds of colorful syrup. Around the fountains, she placed the platters that were lined first with fresh greenery then on top were any kind of breakfast food to dip, along with fresh fruit galore. It was an amazing set up and I am still getting compliments saying how wonderful everything looked. I have had numerous people ask me if she is in the business or is just naturally talented...and well I have to say she is just one of those people that have that special touch. Her mom is like that, and well she learned from the best I guess. This is not the first time Shannon has planned something for me and gotten so creative with it. She also helped with my bridal shower, wedding, and daughter's first birthday party. I would highly recommend her for any event, because I know no matter what the task she will come out knocking everyone's socks off by the end of the night!

Simply Exquisite Events also created the most memorable 50th Birthday for me, my family and friends. The entire event was perfect. Even the restaurant catering manager said that this was one of the most organized, elegant and enjoyable events he has ever seen in the ten years at this Newport Beach restaurant. From the early planning, e-invites, communications with the invited guests to get photos and tributes for a montage video and memory album, to the beautifully decorated room with the table and cake decor, wine bottles with photo labels, thank you cards already addressed and stamped, everything was beautifully done. The evening was simply exquisite and will have lasting memories! I would recommend the work of Katie and Shannon event coordinators extraordinaire, to put on any event from weddings, theme parties or corporate conferences. Their attention to detail, organization, creativity and customer service is what makes them stand out as one of the very best in the business.
